Mandatory offers personal wardrobe planning consultations with a focus on function and versatility as well as style. We’ll help you make the most of your current wardrobe and suggest additions that will make you look good, feel good and take you places – whether for work, fun, or special occasions.

Your consultation will start in store, where we can work together to identify your requirements, style, and taste. We’ll then come to you for a relaxed in-home consultation (1–2 hours) when we’ll put together some outfits for different scenarios, and work out what’s working and identify any gaps. We’ll bring samples, swatches, photographs and our ideas as inspiration. Back at the store, we’ll work with you to choose garments to get you going in the right direction. And we’ll sort alterations for existing pieces if needs be.

We’ll provide you with a ‘Style File’ summarising your consultation, including our advice and suggestions on future purchases and things to look for –including belts, hats, shoes and other stylish accessories. If you like, we’ll contact you with relevant suggestions as our new ranges arrive each season.

The cost of the consultation is $200 – with no obligation to purchase and no other strings attached. If you buy from us, however, the $200 consultation fee is redeemable against purchases at a rate of $50 per item.
